Lazy Man's Cabbage Stew

 I can't believe I have not put this recipe on my blog yet! 

I have been making it for years! I created it one winter when I wanted cabbage rolls but didn't want to put the time into making them. It is super simple, healthy and the leftovers are even better the next day!



You'll need:

20 oz. Organic Ground Beef (I prefer Kirkland from Costco)

1 large onion, chopped

1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning

1 tsp Garlic Powder

Salt and Pepper

6-8 cups Cabbage, chopped

2 (15oz.) cans diced tomatoes

1 (8oz.) can tomato sauce

Jasmine rice (prepared separately)



Brown the ground beef in a skillet with the onion and spices.  

Put the ground beef in the crock pot, dump in the diced tomatoes and tomato sauce and stir well.  Then add in the cabbage and combine.

Set the Crock-Pot to low for 8 hours or high for 5.

Serve with a scoop of jasmine rice on top. 



So Delicious! And you can even freeze leftovers!
